Psychiatrist

  Duties and Responsibilities: They specialize in the problem of mental illness. As physicians, they are licensed to use a very wide variety of treatment and may write prescriptions. They may work for the government have their own private practice, or work in hospitals, clinics, and universities. They do the following

          I.            Design treatment programs

       II.            Conducting psychotherapy session

     III.            Prescribing mental illness drugs

    IV.            Supervising electrotherapy treatment

      V.            Conducting research

    VI.            Leading a team of mental health care providers

Average Salary: $90,000 - $200,000

 Educational requirements: they are required to complete the requirements for a degree in allopathic and osteopathic medicine, and the psychiatrists must complete an intensive three year residency in psychiatry.
