Duties and responsibilities:
the responsibilities are they dispense eyeglasses for patients based upon prescription
written by ophthalmologist or optometrists. Optician’s help the costumers select
eye glasses frames and then measures their faces so that correct size frames
can be ordered. There are also workers for optometrist and ophthalmologist who
sell glasses.
Salary: $19,000 - $40,000
Education requirements: Students are required to
take courses of physics, algebra, mechanical drawing and geometry. A high
school diploma or a GED certificate is needed
to begin training.
