Dental laboratory technicians specialize in different areas of dental and orthodontic work. Their jobs usually include making and repairing dentures, crowns, and braces. They work in dental schools, commercial dental laboratories, hospitals, dental clinics, and for manufacturers of dental prostheses Dental laboratory technicians:
  • Repair denture linings. 
  • Choose and mount replacement teeth. 
  • Construct denture frames.

Experience at HPIAM

“My Esperance So Far at HPIAM”

My Esperance so far at HPIAM is interesting, I am having fun in lunch and at classes and talking to my friend sis the most important one. My favorite experience are good because I am knowing new friends and I am getting to know my teachers my hole classes and. Marquez high school is fun because I am knowing my clubs my, and I am knowing I what can my parents mere and could be involve in. I always that that high school was going to be hard but in reality it is interesting and it not hard it just like reviewing middle school preparing me, to when I go to 10th grade could be prepare and I will know what I have to know. My teachers hear are interesting aim having fun they don’t leave a lot of homework and they are fun at teaching the way they exoreic themselves make me feel safe and it is nice knowing nothing could happen to me. This year my goals are to have good grades passes all my classes and get into good recommendations be able to understand my grade level. Specially to know what I want to be in life. My Ways to achieve this is getting help from my parents and teachers, brother and sister and also whoever is whiling to go with me through this path. I am getting tint sports as in photo club next year I want to join leadership, and maybe much more. In My advisory the teacher gives me advices and helps me understand what good and what bad. I am not planning to drop out and defiantly not to quiet high school. I am a gladiator and I am goanna take all the risk in order to graduate high school.

Dental hygienists provide preventive treatment for oral health problems. They also educate patients and promote dental health.  They may be employed in health departments, nursing homes, hospitals, dental school, or school districts, but usually they work in private dental offices and clinics.  Dental hygienists:

  • ·  Screen patients for dentists.
  •     Take and develop radiographs.
  • · Remove calculus and plaque from teeth. 
    · Apply preventive treatments to teeth. 
    · Counsel patients on oral health and teach them appropriate dental health procedures. 
    · Perform dental office management duties. 

    Average Salary: $22,000 - $35,000 
    Educational Requirements: 
    Dental hygienists must have a high school diploma or GED certificate before participating in dental hygiene hygiene hygienehygiene hygiene hygiene education programs. 
    Dental hygienists usually earn an Associate's Degree at a community college or private school. To practice, they must also earn a license by passing the Dental Hygiene National Board examination. 
    Some hygienists earn Bachelor's or Master's degrees if they want to teach, do research, or broaden their scope into public health issues.

Dental assistants help dentists provide dental care. They often work in teams with dental hygienists and laboratory technicians. They may work in health clinics, dental schools, nursing homes, and the military, but usually they work for dentists in private practice. Dental assistant duties include:

· Helping patient’s patients feel comfortable during treatment.

· Taking and developing dental x-rays.

· Taking medical histories for patients.

· Sterilizing and preparing dental instruments and equipment.

· Instructing patients about dental health care to include brushing and flossing their teeth.

· Performing office management tasks.

                                   Average Salary: $14,000 - $25,000
Educational Requirements:
Dental assistants must have a high school diploma or GED certificate.
They must receive additional training at a community college, vocational school, or dental school to learn their skills. Length of programs varies between six months and one year.
